Christmas break!!

Santa clause came to visit and sofie asked for a cinderella dollie. at first she was a little scared but then finally got up the courage to sit on his lap as long as stephanie went too.

while the kids shopped grandma and sofie got to have some fun at the mall and grandma showed sofie the MAC makeup at macys

we went to the christmas dinner for our ward and sofie loved the jello.

Spencer, steph, susan, emily and sofie went to visit grandpa at work and sofie tried on the 'fashionable' goggles that employees get to wear on the production floor.

4 generation picture. while we waited for the news on where spencer was coming in we decided to take a little trip to grandma and grandpa lewis' house to see the christmas lights in Bend at shore acres.

We stopped at uncle russle's house for some roast that he made and sofie met him for the first time.

For family home evening we went on a hike to 'Spencer butte'. we hiked through the snow and caught a view part way up before it got too slick.

when we picked up stephanie and sofie fromt the airport we stopped by IKEA and had some fun.

Grandpa had some one on one time with sofie playing 'Dora dominos'.

TRICK or TREAT - We were invaded by (almost all) of the 'Butter Cream Gang' - missing - Josh R.

Andy was a body guard - he didn't know which shirt to wear - a white one or a black one - so he wore both! Left - Avery - Rt of Andy - Hunter Lewis - far rt. Matt Pettijohn. They came home with alot of 'loot'! Mom is saying - BRUSH your teeth!

Happy 13th Birthday Andy! On the porch after carving pumpkins. Shelley's- BATMAN, Andy's - rt top as a nose -Dad did the little one - not much 'guts' to clean out - Eric's - far left - he carved all four sides - Mom's - lower left - a tree and leaves.

Wow it has been a long time since we last updated the blog. Heres a picture of me in the mountains - Mt Hood on my right - This was a 6 mile hike - I think Spenc would like this hike - I have done three hikes in the cascades - my fav is the east side of Three Fingered Jack - it was also a 6 mile hike.

Proud parents - Eric received his first Eagle Palm - only 3% of all Eagle Scouts earn an Eagle Palm after earning their Eagle Rank in Scouting. Andrew received recognition this night (Sept 24th) for his First Class Rank. Both of boys are working on their Duty to God also.

I hike with friends in the ward - They know the trails and are good company.

Here she is - Shelley on the soccer field! Running and gunning! That's her style! She was pulled up to play for Varsity state play offs. The first play off game is Tuesday in Central Point.

Dad had tickets - from Lanz Cabinets - for an Oregon home game (U of O) - it was fun to go with him - nice seats -The Club - (they are the owner's seats). U of O is in great need of a quarterback! Fun Stadium - Autzen.

Playing in the backyard - Uncle Andy mowed the lawn and we looked at the pumpkin patch!

Seminary Graduation

Emily's day finally came she graduated

from seminary and recieved her diploma.

Hurray for Her! she is working now two jobs-at lanz and at Khols- to be able to go to BYU in the fall with suzie.

Emily- is preparing to polevault at marshfield in coos bay, she earned her thurston letter! :]

Utah Trip

BYU Women's Week-
Learning and sharing - this was the longest time Kathi had ever been away from Boston - we

listened to President Monson as the closing speaker. All the Auxilliary Presidents were on the

stand. We ate great mint brownies and chicken salad sandwiches while we waited in the Marriott Center. Then it was time to take Emily on a tour of the BYU Campus.

It was time to say good-bye to BYU for Susan - as well as the time with Kathi's family and Mary
and Joey. BUT it was time for Mom and Emily to make it a ROAD TRIP - so we headed to up
the McKenzie River and mom was busy balancing her check book as we passed through that
great metropolis - BURNS - when Emily said - Mom - Can you get to Winnemucca from here?



Mom said - yes - but it is the wrong direction from where we want to go. It only took minutes for
mom to come to her senses - look around - and ask Emily - "Did you take the left turn in
BURNS to stay on Highway 20? Emily replied -"What left turn?"
